What these terms cover

These terms govern your use of this website. They are not the terms of a consulting engagement with ebs. Consulting work is carried out under a separate written agreement, and nothing on this website forms part of that agreement or varies it.

By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. In this page, ebs., we and us mean Easy Business Strategies Pty Ltd, and you means the person using the site.

What this website is

This website describes what we do and invites you to make contact. Nothing on it is an offer capable of acceptance, a quotation, or a commitment to act for you. A working relationship begins only once we have both signed a written agreement.

The information here is general

Everything we publish here about Australian and New Zealand building regulation, standards, market conditions and commercial strategy is general information written for a professional audience. It is not legal advice, engineering advice, a conformity assessment, or advice about your particular product or circumstances.

Requirements in this sector change, and they differ between the states and territories of Australia and between Australia and New Zealand. Before relying on anything published here, confirm the current position for your product and your jurisdiction, or ask us and we will advise you properly under an engagement.

We do not certify products and we do not issue conformity assessments. Certification is carried out by accredited certification bodies. Where we work on compliance, we help you prepare evidence, choose a pathway and navigate the process. Responsibility for a product's compliance remains with the party on whom the law places it, and that responsibility cannot be transferred to us.

Using the site

You may read, print and share this site for your own business purposes. You may not:

• copy, republish or resell its content as your own;
• use its content to build or train a competing service;
• try to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with it, or use it in any way that damages it or degrades it for other people; or
• send anything unlawful, misleading or malicious through the enquiry form.

What you send us

Please send us only information you are entitled to send. We treat enquiries as confidential in the ordinary course of business, but the enquiry form is not a secure channel for commercially sensitive technical documents and you should not use it as one. If you need to share something sensitive, tell us and we will arrange a proper channel.

We handle personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

The text, design and graphics on this site are owned by ebs. or used with permission. Product names, trade marks and logos belong to their respective owners. Using this site gives you no licence to any of them.

Links to other sites

We link to external sites, including regulators and standards bodies, because they are the authoritative source. We do not control those sites and a link is not an endorsement.

Availability

We do not promise that this site will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, and we may change or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where we are permitted to limit our liability, it is limited to re-supplying the relevant information or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss arising from your reliance on general information published on this website.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law applying in Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you use the site is the version that applies.
